Indomie named Indonesia’s most well-known fast-moving consumer goods

Brand Footprint (2019 edition) which was compiled by Kantar Indonesia named Indomie as the Indonesia’s most well-known fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand. It is the seventh straight year that Indomie leads the Brand Footprint ranking in Indonesia.

Even in Nigeria, Indomie is the most popular one among Nigerians, Nigeria is the 12th largest instant noodle market in the world, where locals consume 1.76bn servings of noodles annually and according to the 2017 Kantar report, 16 brands battling for customers’ attention in Nigeria and Indomie is the one that leads, accounts for 74% of Nigeria’s market.

There is a report that Tolaram Group import raw materials such as wheat and palm oil to meet the demand for the production of Indomie in Nigeria. Why can’t Indofood invest in palm oil production in Nigeria? that would lower production cost for Indomie, also, expand Indofood’s overseas investment.
